Something about me.

#my best piece of creative work#acrylic painting

Since I was young I have had a great interest in Art and Design. I interested in different types of art as Chinese claborate-style Painting, watercolour painting, making poster, small sculpture, textual design and sketch.
This is my year 13 art portfolio, which was about landscape and architecture. Most of the painting there have reflection details in it. I love to find the light and a different way to show the space of building.

Im from this city and Im so proud of that.

In 2010, I decided that my future career is going to be an architect. I went to Beijing to study art and design. At that time, I wanted to get in an architecture design in Beijing which is called CAFA<Central Academy of Fine Art>. After the half-year study time, this news came out which is truly a nightmare for me. In china (specially Guangdong province) science student cannot get in to art school. It cannot work even I just want to get in a school, which is not in Guangdong province. The strict China University examination system forced me to find another way for my furfure Architecture Design study. And then I choose to come to UNSW it probably was my best choice in my life.

Before I came to Sydney, I studied in New zealand for almost 2 years. These time in New Zealand high school challenged my creative potential in design and painting lessons and graphic design I enjoyed most. The way of New Zealander`s thinking and my Graphic teacher`s teaching inspired me a lot. I did four designs during year13 graphics study, including a Christchurch CBD mall design, an electronic vehicle and two logos design. The last design was a flower shop logo, which I need to negotiate with my client. In that design I learned that talking to client and understand what client thinking is most important step in a whole design process. And to express your understanding through your design is the most difficult step of design as well. You could design a really perfect product in your mind but sometimes its not fit for everyone. I learned the design process from doing initial brief to research to brainstorm to the development and the final design. I really enjoy all the steps I did. And I know these are not the professional designer`s work. so hope to learn lots this year.

Thanks.
