EXP 2 THE MONUMENT

Below are 5 images of final monuments in the terrain.

Two concepts I chosen : "Architecture that lets me in peace."--- Peter Zumthor

and "Space which is spiritually uplifting."---Filipo Brunelleschi.

Zumthor brings his buildings a beautiful silence word. Such as Therme Vals, the building has a good relationship to its natural surrounding. He insisted on using locally quarried stone. when people stay inner space of his building, it just like listen to the nature, peacefully.

For Brunelleschi, his building has a really mathematical gothic style, and supreme use of geometry. But most important, his building suggest a kind of spiritual world.

Firstly i consider about the relationship between two architects then I built the monuments on a isolated, high elevation island where can looking out to the snow mountain. trees and bamboo surrounded two monuments. Theres a waterfall under Zumthor`s monument which leads to a pool. All these natural elements suggest peace.

I`m using dark color and texture on Zumthor`s monument but Brunelleschi`s in Light white color which let it looked like a sculpture. There`s a walk way connect two monuments( meeting point) ,which I applied red painted texture. People can choose walk on it or walk through from inside tunnel.
